high rated. If you don't want to wait for an official GOG patch, you can just binary edit the common.dll file located in the Life is Strange/Binaries/Win32 directory: replacing all (3) occurences of the hex-values string "C5 FD EF" with "66 0F EF". The starting issue should be now fixed (well, at least for me!) P.S.:
This isn't the first time this has happened. It's caused crashing issues in Resident Evil Revelations 2 (on release) and stuttering issues in the Trackmania games.. probably other games as well. Makes sense too, you have almost 2k friends. I have close to 300 which is probably enough to trigger it.
3.) Launch the game. If it still doesn't work now and you still get the black screen, your saves are not the problem. You can copy the renamed/moved folder back to where you found it and revert everything back to normal. If nothing in this thread works for you, maybe that's your solution. Hope it helps.
I downloaded life is strange off of steamunlocked awhile ago and am having trouble. Help / Troubleshooting. So just at the start of the 4th episode after I do a couple things the game crashes at the same cutscene and says a bunch of files were not found. Idk if anyone would be able to help, because this seems like a hyper specific problem, but
Not exactly; however, I did find that I was able to get through the scene by talking to Rose and setting the table immediately. It would then create a checkpoint and make it to where when the game crashed again, I could reload from there and save some time (i.e., not have to sit through the cutscene of when Chloe and Rachel first arrive to the house).
I played it on the PlayStation Plus cloud service on PC had no problem. zeeshnr • 7 mo. ago. Happened to me when i tried starting it before the whole game was installed, so i guess it has something to do with the "ready to play" not being good enough to start the game. As soon as it was fully installed, it worked and i finished the game with
This fix worked for me: Disable steam cloud update for HZD. Go to your save folder mine is in Documents\Horizon Zero Dawn\Saved Game. Backup the entire save folder somewhere. Go to "Documents\Horizon Zero Dawn\Saved Game\profile" and delete the content. Run the game again.
Launch the Discord app > Click on the gear icon at the bottom. Click on Overlay under App Settings > Turn on the Enable in-game overlay. Click on the Games tab > Select Life is Strange True Colors. Finally, turn off the Enable in-game overlay toggle. Make sure to reboot your PC to apply changes.
